Review:
I just saw The Lovely Bones today and set it on I thought it was a terrible movie! Okay, Ill admit that Peter Jackson tried a little too overpower the film with CGI but that takes nothing away from the heart and emotions, this film can be generated. First, the performance is absolutely superb with fine performances all round. Saoirse Ronan (of my homeland - Ireland) is a revelation Susie Salmon. I have yet to see such a talented piece of action in such a young actress Natalie Portman, because L said. She was robbed of an Oscar nomination truly worthy performance. Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, and of course, Stanley Tucci (one of the best actors of the modern era) are all convincing here. I believe that when it comes, see Sayers level CGI lost interest and forgot that this movie really can offer at its core - the tension, heartbreak, excitement and joi.If you really make the effort to delve into this film, you will leave with a tear in the eye. If not, then I'm sorry I could look past the CGI errors and to see a really emotional film.
